So, sometimes we are booked at the last minute and don’t have the time to really get to know our couples and their families as much as we usually do before the wedding . . . aaaaaand sometimes it doesn’t matter!
We met Helena and Donnie at The Boutique Bridal Show of Galveston Island put on by Kathy Glass Weddings and Island Flowers earlier in the year. Both families live out of state and there was only about 2 months between the time we met and the wedding. Between emails and phone calls by the time the wedding day arrived Helena’s Mother and Father were greeting us with kisses and I love you’s!
For the first time ever the GWP’s shot a bachelorette party . . . well most of it 😉 Helena’s fantastic group of girls threw here a totally 80’s party and even rented a vintage yellow school bus to haul everyone around! Here are a few of our faves:
One of the places we stopped at was the 80’s themed Etro Lounge . . . the music was AWESOME!
Look! I made it into the last one! Aaaaaand of course I am sporting my GWP colored earrings!
Then the wedding day arrived and all of Helena’s totally rad clothing was put away as she donned a beautiful wedding gown . . .
And Donnie his Tux . . .
Helena’s father cracked jokes all day and kept us on our toes which helped distract everyone from their nerves as the ceremony began.
Look how excited the officiant was!!
The ceremony was held at the San Louis Resort in Galveston followed by a very intimate poolside reception. It was perfect! The weather was nice, the setting was wonderful and everyone treated us like family.
Check out these shoes!!!!!
This is hands down my favorite detail shot . . . right as Rachel snapped it Helena and Donnie decided to kiss (for like the bazillionth time!) . . .
Donnie is very athletic and drinks protein shakes like they are going out of style soooooo his grooms cake is only fitting 🙂
We had such a great time! Thank-You so much for including us in your big day 🙂
Good luck in Dallas and don’t forget to visit next time you are in town!!
Here is their slide show . . . Enjoy!
Love. Love. Love.
p.s. Mrs. Voyiadjis, Thank you for all the sweet sweet emails and allergy recommendations!
You hold a very special place in our hearts!
