Galveston Wedding/Galveston Opera House/Libbi and Ben

Libbi and Ben’s wedding this weekend was absolutely beautiful!  First off let me just say how much we love this couple and their families!  Libbi is the perfect GWP bride and here’s why…..

She LOVES to laugh and she does it LOUDLY.  A girl after our own hearts!!

The day started out with the girls getting ready at Libbi’s parents home in the historical part of downtown Galveston.

Libbi dress was Morie Lee by Madeline Gardner from Weddings by Debbie in Katy.  They just moved into their new location and if you haven’t been, you should go its HUGE!

The flowers were done by Island Flowers in Galveston and they were trés beautiful.

The boys got ready at one of the groomsmen’s houses.  While I was with the girls laughing it up, Jamie was with the boys watching football, eating snacks, and helping the guys with their ties.

Ben and Libbi chose to do a reveal, so that we could get started on the portraits before the ceremony (it was dark afterward).  It worked out wonderfully!  It was a little cold but the setting was perfect.  Libbi chose to do the reveal on the roof of the Tremont House in Downtown Historic Galveston, where the couple was staying on the wedding night.

And check out the great lighting in the honeymoon suite…

And now let the portraits begin!!

Check out the groomsmen on the right = )

The ceremony was held at the Galveston Bible church.  Many parts of Galveston are still recovering from the hurricane and the couples church and reception sites were among those.  Luckily, the floors at the church were redone and the widows at the Opera House were replaced just in time for the wedding!

I had the best view for the ceremony….right between two beautifully lit Christmas trees!

Then off to the reception at The Grand 1894 Opera House in style….a trolly!

The cake was done by Cakes by Gina and the DJs from Premium Sound kept everyone dancing all night.  Also, a thank you to Bob Christianson of Carriage Caterers for the delicous food.

A fun highlight of the reception was when “father” of texas country music stopped by to say hello to the couple.  He was playing a concert at the opera house and dropped in to wish the couple well.  Ladies and Gentleman Jerry Jeff Walker!

At the reception the guests wrote messages to the couple on cards with magnets attached to the back, then placed them on a magnetic stand.  I will leave you with this quote from one of the guests….

Love. Love. Love.

  1. Girls,

You really did a great job at capturing Libbi. She does love to laugh. You also managed to show the historic side of Galveston. Thanks for a job WELL DONE. Jamie, hope the burn from the sparklers doesn’t stop you from running the guantlet again.

    Much Love,
    Anne (MOB)

  3. Awesome, just awesome pictures and wedding and of course ‘the bride’! So wish we could’ve been there too!! I particularly love the picture of the wedding party in the alley. SO vey NYC looking and reminds me of the YOU TUBE ceremony where the wedding party comes ‘dancing’ down the aisle. I could just picture that! I wanted to write something pithy but this will have to do. Anywho, Wishing You … Love. Much Happiness. Time To Travel. More Love. And A Delicious Glass Of Wine. 🙂 Happy Life, Uncle Jeff and Aunt Kathy

  4. These photos are stunning and so were the Bride and Groom. The Wedding was so beautiful, I actually cried a bit. The Reception was fun and fabulous – great food, music, dancing, ambiance, gorgeous cake, etc. And then to top everything off with such beautiful photographs and the Slide Show. Everything was wonderful.
